Lukis: So, where can we find Agile?
Bomb: Well, he did say he was a swordsman for King Blister of the Luminy castle, maybe we should pay him a visit.
Lukis: He was? Hmm... Well….
Bomb: Where are we? Do you have a map?
Lukis: No, we are on another body of land than the one Luminy castle is on….
Karen: Well, can we use ship?
Lukis: I don't have any....
They began their trudge through the sand filled desert once again.
Lukis: Hmmmm…….
Karen: What?
Lukis: Well, you know, there is always the monster at the Kingdom of Lawren!
Karen: What? Oh!
Lukis: Well, now that might work….
Bomb: What are you two babbling about?
Lukis: The Kingdom of Lawren, it is past some forests and it is above Saltis. If we walked to Saltis we could get there after a rest stop. Now, the Kingdom of Lawren is controlled by King Lawren, he is a nice man and he should let us into this sacred mountain he has behind his castle.
Karen: Yeah, you see, they have this sacred mountain behind the castle and at the very top of the mountain is the petrified statue of a Wyvern. They say the Wyvern is called Jerzyl. It’s a huge mountain guarded by Lawren’s troops.
Lukis: Yes, this thing would hold about 6 or 7 people and it is extremely docile, now, the only real problem is that it is a statue, a creature of stone at the very top of the mountain…… But, the kind of petrification he has can be simply cured with your average soften potion…..
Bomb: Well, why hasn’t anyone ever used it on him?
Lukis: The mountain is a treacherous trail, no one’s really made it up to the top… But anyways, if we can make it we can bring the beast to life and fly him to Luminy castle. And we could even use him to attack it!
Bomb: Hmm, we go to Lawren, climb their sacred mountain, and cure the beast at the very top of it's petrification and make him ours. Well that sounds pretty fool-proof, I say we do it!
Karen: Yeah….. Sure will be a long walk back though to Saltis….. Now what happened in the Sand Orchard?
Bomb: I can’t tell you right now……
Karen: Ok? Did you get anything on that Kyros guy?
Bomb: *Sigh* Not really, just that he was born to stop us..
Karen: From doing what?
Bomb: Forget it, just put him on your enemy list cause that’s where he belongs. Now you said you used to be in the Delban Army?
Karen: Yeah, I was just a soldier there and that's about it.
Bomb:And you joined us cause you needed money?
Karen: Well, sorta, I just needed something to do and you guys looked fun.
Lukis: Uhh... Well, we better get to Saltis..
Bomb: Yeah, but-
Lukis: Wait, what is that?
The ground started shaking.
Bomb: What the?
The shaking became more and more fierce, everyone was starting to lose their balance and Bomb and Lukis fell over. The whole entire desert around them seemed to be shaking.
Karen: Whoooooah!
The sand around Karen spurted up in a cloud of dust and suddenly something shot out of the sand right under Karen.
Lukis: Whaaa!
Bomb: Karen!
Bomb flew himself back from the dust. It was a large figure, some sort of creature bursting out of the sand. The large creature was like some sort of worm or snake from the sand with Karen still on it’s face.
Lukis: Nooo!
The worm stretched as high as a 3 story house and was colored like the sand. It was very wide too. Karen was on the front of it’s face as it stopped it’s dive to the surface. It had popped out from under her and she had stood on it’s face the whole ride up. She had managed to keep her balance all the way up but was beginning to fall off. The worm opened it’s mouth in a high pitched shriek as it began to fall to the sand from it’s surfacing. Karen fell back off of it’s face and began flying towards the sand. Her hair and clothes whipped in the wind as she glided into the desert.
Worm: Riiiiiiii!
Lukis: Damn!
Bomb: Karen!
Bomb tried to reach her but he was too late as she came crashing down yards away from him. The snake worm thing fell to the ground halfway and left his upper half upright and it slithered across the sand around the area. It had no eyes but you could see by its mouth that it was watching them. Its mouth was filled with pile upon pile of short sharp teeth that filed way back into its throat.
Worm: Riii!
Bomb: What the hell is that!
Lukis: It’s a Sand Snake! It’s like a huge sand-worm with big teeth! They only come up for food!
Bomb: What’s it eat…..
Lukis: Anything… These things are tough too, barely anything can get through their rough skin…
Karen got herself up amazingly and got herself together.
Karen: Ugggg…….
The Sand Snake whipped its large tail around and smashed into Lukis. It tossed him across the sand tumbling through the desert.
Bomb: Lukis! Damn, looks like this thing isn’t gonna go down without a fight.
Bomb drew out his spear and began walking towards the thing. Karen took out her boomerang and stood her ground.
Bomb: Lukis, do you have a weapon?
Lukis had stopped tumbling and was lying on the ground.
Lukis: I got some fists!
Bomb: ……….
The Sand Snake turned towards Bomb who was now in front of him. He took a quick stance and jabbed his spear straight into a part in the middle of its body.
Sand Snake: Krraaooh!
The snake whipped its head up and Bomb dashed backwards. It swooped its head down swiftly and scooped up the sand right in front of Bomb with it’s open mouth. Mists of sand were forming around the creature.
Bomb: This thing is impossible to defeat!
Lukis jumped onto its head as it laid on the ground but then the worm pulled itself back up.
Lukis: ……. Damnit, my punching isn’t going to hurt it…. Wait….
Karen whipped her boomerang back and then ripped it through the air. It glided through the wind streams and punctured the snake right in the middle. It hit it like a wall and fell back to the ground. The Sand Snake barely felt it and wasn’t bleeding anywhere.
Bomb: Ok, run!
Bomb ran off towards the horizon and Karen went to grab her boomerang.
Karen: Damnit, why’d I have to throw it!
Lukis: Aha! There!
Karen dashed through the sand just as Lukis flipped off the head of the Sand Snake. He crashed near Karen and began dashing to Bomb. Karen reached her weapon just as the Sand Snake turned its head to Karen. She snatched her boomerang and backed off slowly.
Karen: Uh oh……
BOOOOOOOOOM!
A huge burst of flames spurted out of the Sand Snake’s head.
Sand Snake: Wraaaaa!
It twisted its head around and slithered around quickly. There was some blood oozing out of its head. Bomb and Lukis had turned around to look at it for a second.
Bomb: You used another sticky mine?
Lukis: Yeah.
Bomb: How many did you loot from me?!
Karen grabbed her boomerang and ran off. The Sand Snake was a little hurt but not even close to dead. It brought its head down and rolled around in the sand in pain creating a big sandstorm around its body.. Karen reached Bomb and Lukis a few minutes later. They were all hidden behind one large rock that shielded them from the Sand Snake’s vision, even though it was just rolling around.
Lukis: What are we going to do! We are going to die!
Bomb: (He’s close…….)
Lukis: The bastard better not get up soon…..
Lukis peeked his head over the rock. The Sand Snake was still rolling around.
Lukis: Man oh man…..
Bomb: (Agile………)
Bomb started getting extremely woozy.
Karen: Bomb? You Ok?
Bomb got very tired and dizzy and the world blacked out. It was only a few seconds but he saw an image. Some sort of vision.
It was from someone else’s point of view it seems, from someone else’s eyes. He was flying across the desert.
???: It’s close……
Bomb felt liek he was talking when he knew he was really just watching from someone else's. But who's? In the horizon a familiar sight loomed. It was a high tornado that stretched up to the skies. The familiar cyclone and gargantuan tree. The beautiful green of the leaves.
???: Yes!
The flight sped up and soon he was close to just about crashing into the thing. The Sand Orchard.
???: There...
He pulled out a sword from somewhere on him and drove into the wind tunnel. He let the wind take him but he had full control. He circled around the tree in the tornado going lower and lower until he reached the bottom, then he sped out of the tornado and stood right in front of the trunk of the tree. The core of it.
???: Take this you!
The man brought his sword back. The image faded but Bomb could hear a frightening explosion as he opened his eyes and fell back into his own world.
Karen: He’s back!
Lukis: Damn, the worm is back up!
Lukis was still spying over the rock.
Karen: What happened to you? You pass out?
Bomb: Uhh…. Noo….
Bomb: (Was that Agile? Why did that happen? The gift? No, couldn’t be….)
Karen: Well… Ah!
The ground shook for a short second……..
BOOOOM!
Then the ground shook even fiercer and the whole desert began vibrating. It stopped in a few seconds.
Karen: What was that?!
Lukis: It better not be another worm! One is enough!
Bomb: (The tree....)
Bomb: Someone is here!
Lukis: Who?
Lukis looked at Bomb but another rumbling began occurring and Lukis whipped his head over the rock. Then he quickly brought it back down.
Lukis: Shhh!
Everyone stood still as the Sand Snake creeped past the rock slowly and turned its head around looking all over.
Bomb:(Why did I have that vision.....)
Sand Snake: Hsss….
Bomb: (Maybe that was part of the gift, I haven't ever doen that before....)
It’s head turned over to Bomb and the gang.
Bomb: Shoot!
It hunched its head over and opened its mouth.
Sand Snake: Saaah!
It’s bright white teeth flared, but then a flash of light came.
???: Kwa!
The figure smashed into the side of the Sand Snake and it’s head jolted up.
Sand Snake: Kaaah!
It veered back and the figure stood in front of it. He pulled out his sword and ran up to the thing. He swung it through the air and sliced straight through its stomach. The snake shrieked and backed off. Blood was spurting out of the snake’s stomach. Then it jammed it’s head quickly into the ground and dwelled under leaving behind clouds of sand in the wind. The Sand Snake was finally gone. After all of the sand cleared away the figure turned towards Bomb.
Agile: Hello again my friend!
Lukis: Who is that?
Bomb: Agile!
Karen: Check out, he’s wearing orange!
Bomb: Shhh!
Agile: So, do you have some new friends for me to slay for today?
Bomb: Shutup you bastard!
Lukis: Hey, chill, now why did we need to meet Agile anyway?
Bomb: ………. Agile, who are you?
Agile: King Blister’s swordsman, nothing special, don’t you have a memory or did you get it knocked out of your head at Luminy castle?!
Bomb: You know you are more than that!
Agile: Ha. I have to go now, I’ve completed my mission and must return to King Blister!
Bomb: No! You must tell me!
Agile: I must go! King Blister awaits. I’ve taken the tree anyway so you have no chance against me!
Lukis: The Sand Orchard?! We just came from there, you can’t do that!
Agile: What?! You’ve been there?! Damnit! Damn all of you, you can’t get any closer!
Bomb: What are you talking about!
Agile: You can’t obtain that kind of knowledge! Off with you now!
Agile brought his knee up and then jumped up into the sky quickly.
Agile: This will at least stall you and give me enough time to take out the next one!
Agile was way up in the sky and began hovering away slowly. He drew his turquoise sword out and pointed it towards Bomb and his friends.
Bomb: (So he can fly...)
Lukis: Ok, maybe we need to run!
Lukis tried to begin running but it was too late as a light appeared from Agile’s sword. The energy changed from the light into a dark light and pumped out and shot down towards the desert. It was like a beam of the night, the darkness being shoot at them.
Bomb: Whoa-
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
It shot into the ground and everyone closed their eyes from the explosion. They could just hear the sound of destruction and the twisting of their bodies being pushed and pulled as they burst away from the explosion. It didn’t hurt them, but they could feel it twisting their bodies and pushing them all over. It whipped their clothes and hair and all of their body parts around but soon they began to feel less pushed, more floating. After the sounds dissappeared, Bomb, the only concious one of the 3, felt only the strong gust of the wind and opened his eyes. He saw himself rushing over the town of Saltis. The blast must have tossed them all over the desert, it was amazing they could take that kidn of force without their skin being torn from thier bodies. Bomb saw he wasn’t going to land in the town though. He shut his eyes hard as he saw were he was heading. It was only a calm flight for a second more as Bomb smashed straight onto the top of the general store.
BAM!
He slid across for a few seconds feeling his skin scrape and pain sting all over his body until he fell over the edge and onto the sand behind the store which he could barely feel as the pain from the roof crashing numbed his body. He shut his eyes to try and shut the pain away as he heard two splashes in the water to his left.
Bomb: God, what kind of... force was that....
He shut his eyes for a while longer until he could feel his body again.
